How a co-op works
Everyone is welcome to shop. Members own a share of the association, vote at the annual meeting, elect the board, and receive a portion of the profits as cash back or equity, based on their purchases through the year.
A strong social conscience has always been part of how Discovery Co-op operates. We run a strong, financially viable business that returns profits to our members, and we invest in the communities in which we operate. We are part of your hometown and care about and support the causes that matter to you.

Team members are honoured at every five-year milestone of service within the Co-operative Retailing System, and the co-op publishes its annual report to members every year: 2025, and now 2026.
